Dear
Datuk Mayor,
Re: Criminal Conspiracy and Disturbances in our
area & our complaints – Taman Sri Kepayan
Further
to my several letters to you since we moved into this new area in late July,
2013, we are writing this for more information from you as this CRIMINAL
Conspiracy is still on.
2. We are not writing to the YB Datuk Edward
Yong and we hope you would extend a copy
of this letter to him. He did not reply
to our letter together with the Memorandum on Guard Dogs in late August, 2013.
3. The arrival of Datuk Edward at our house on
26th of September, 2013 further confirmed Criminal Conspiracy which
may be a mystery to you but not for us.
His arrival at our house had raised some eyebrows in Facebook and blogs
as it had exposed his agenda. A
photograph of his presence is attached for your reference.
4. Then the very prompt arrival on 24th
of December, 2013 of the DBKK’s staff of the division of health and animals
control (not identified to us) as shown
in the second photograph further confirmed that DBKK is working for our right
neighbour in the Criminal Conspiracy.
Without earlier communication with us, the arrival of four staff in a
DBKK’s vehicle over the burial of our guard dog named Rocket on 21st
of December, 2013 after it was poisoned by the “right neighbour “.
5.
We
would appreciate that you would provide us with the Official Report for both visits in paragraphs 3 & 4
6. We had already lodged complaints to DBKK for violations of the by-laws by the neighbours and please take
appropriate action. We will provide photographs
in due course.
7.
We
trust this would receive your prompt reply.
Thank
you,
Yours
faithfully,
Joshua

Kota Kinabalu: Everyone must play a vital role in crime
prevention, littering issues as well as in fighting vandalism, said
Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir.
"The government has provided us lots of funds for facilities.
The people need to change their mindsets because they tend to damage and refuse to look after the facilities provided for them," he said, adding that they had also spent a lot of money on maintenance.
"For example, the cycling track at Tanjung Lipat. It has not been officiated yet but it has already been fully utilised and this shows that the project had benefited the citizens of Kota Kinabalu," he said.
However, according to Madingkir, it was reported that motorcyclists had used the tracks for racing purposes.
"The tracks are not even meant for motorcycles and our enforcement had worked very hard to stop this activity," he said, adding that when it comes to vandalism, even steel planted in concrete can be pulled out by irresponsible individuals.
He also said it is the duty of the citizen to work together and not to put the total blame on police or City Hall.
"When there are problems concerning rubbish, then the people would put the blame on the Mayor and City Hall. However, they should realise that instead, it is our duty - it is the duty of the community in the city to help with these issues," he explained.
Madingkir said this when officiating at the Cleaning of Black Spot Areas Initiative Implementation Workshop 2014 at Kota Kinabalu Study Centre, Kingfisher Park, here, Thursday.
"Therefore, today we should all make full use of the workshop to discuss issues for the locations involved which are Inanam and Luyang.
It is through this workshop that we are able to voice out our ideas, not only in Inanam and Luyang but also at the other places in Kota Kinabalu," he said.
According to Madingkir, the locations involved in the programme are Inanam town, Inanam Laut, Inanam Bus Terminal, Kolombong as well as other places nearby whereas Luyang includes places such as Damai, Foh Sang, Bornion, Lintas, Lido and others nearby.
"We hope to determine the problems and issues around these areas besides the suggestion of location for the DBKK Safe City Programme 2014, for example, the fixing of street lights, road dividers, reminder signboards as well as motorcycle parking lots with locks," he added.
He also stated that City Hall under the Safe City Programme would install a total of 24 CCTVs around the city.
Madingkir explained that Black Spot areas do not refer solely on the high index of crimes but also filthy and unmanageable areas involving unhealthy activities such as selling contraband cigarettes.
"We need to install CCTVs on these areas," he added.
Previously, he said City Hall had received RM2. 375 million from the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2013 for the Safe City Programme.
Madingkir said he hoped everyone would discuss measures to clean the mentioned Black Spot areas, which would later be realised, documented and implemented by City Hall.

Stray dogs turn nasty in P'pang

District Council workers have been mobilised to deal with the presence of stray dogs wandering about Taman Delima.
A Council spokesman said its workers would make random visits to the neighborhood to minimise this nuisance.
"Our staff will try to catch as many of these canines as they can," he said.
"Dog owners should ensure that their
dogs are licensed and kept within their compound, if they do not want
their pets to wind up in our keeping," he said.
He warned that even licenced dogs could be caught, if they were found wandering unsupervised in public places.
This action follows the plea from a mother whose son was bitten by two dogs recently.
Susan said her l0-year old was cycling along the housing road, when he was attacked by the canines.
"He had to receive an injection for the bite marks he had on his calves," she said.
"My husband spoke to the owner of the dogs and asked him not to let his pets wander around the neighbourhood."
Nevertheless, she hoped the Council would
intervene to ensure that the public, including pedestrians, the elderly
and other children, who used the housing roads there did not come to
harm.
She said many parents were reluctant to
let their kids play outside the compound of their homes after what
happened to her child.

16. Cannot kill birds but OK for dogs
DBKK has been killing dogs - strayed one or not??? Joshua
Quote "“Cutting down the trees is out of the question because it is (a) sensitive (issue). I cannot kill the birds, as it would be wrong (to do so)!” Mayor
City Hall in a fix over bird droppings
by Chok Sim Yee. Posted on October 11, 2013, Friday
KOTA KINABALU: City Hall is open to any constructive suggestions on how to reduce bird droppings in the city.Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir said City Hall had done its best to resolve the issue, such as cutting down branches of trees used as a resting place by the birds and putting up bright lights in an effort to prevent them from spending the nights there, but all these have been to no avail.
“Cutting down the trees is out of the question because it is (a) sensitive (issue). I cannot kill the birds, as it would be wrong (to do so)!”
Abidin was responding to Kapitan Lim Shim Min’s recent statement on the issue of bird droppings along Gaya Street, especially near Jesselton Hotel, after officiating at the installation ceremony of DBKK Toastmaster Club here yesterday.
He said the trees that were chopped down along Gaya Street recently were infested with termites.
Instead of replanting the trees, City Hall decided to provide more parking spaces for the people, he said.
“Some people are happy, but some people are upset (about cutting down the trees at Gaya Street),” he noted.
Abidin said installing roofs might not be a viable option as it might affect the trees and the people may complain that the roofs compromised the aesthetics of the city.
“If we were to use creative rooftops, people may say we are wasting money just for bird droppings,” he lamented.
Hence, Abidin said, the short-term solution was to clean the bird droppings as soon as they started to accumulate.
“I’ve instructed my men to monitor and clean (the bird droppings). I know the problem will never end. We clean today, by nighttime the birds will come and there will be bird droppings the next day,” he said.
Any constructive suggestions to resolve this issue would be most appreciated, he reiterated.

Dear Datuk Mayor,
Re: Criminal Conspiracy and Disturbances in our
area & our complaints – Taman Sri Kepayan
Further to our letter to you Yang Berhagia, the DG
of DBKK, YB Assistant Minister dated 3rd September, 2013 on the two
matters above-mentioned, we write to protest against what happened at the DG’s
invitation at very short notice of two hours to the Mesyuarat Berhubung
Perkembangan Program Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) Tanjung Aru at the 3rd
Floor of the DG office’s conference room at 2.30pm on 9th October, 2013. We attended the Program at such short notice.
2. So
the event yesterday at the DG’s conference room is just another continuance of
the Criminal Conspiracy over an
abused and petty dog issue. We have
stated our stand in several letters etc including a brief Memorandum to you and
the Assistant Minister concerned and no reply has been forthcoming from the
YB Datuk Edward Yong. YB DEY
(questioned motive) and DG came to our house on 26th September, 2013
after we lodged a Police Report on 25th September, 2013 on the Criminal Conspiracy.
3. Please
don’t focus on the guard dogs we have that are doing a wonderful job in
security for our family and the families around. But focus on the rising crimes and DBKK has
an important role in combating crimes in the city together with the Police to
make KK City a safer place for all. The
complaints on various other violations of By – Laws we raised also need to be
addressed immediately.
4. It
is sad that not many houses in KK have dogs and to avoid an extinction of that,
some liberal policy must be in place unless some quarters so hate dog at their
own peril when dog is another very important creation of God to be our daily
visible friends while God is every where.
5. The
guard dogs are not nuisance to anyone unless deliberately agitated by
neighbours to be so but likely criminal minded people are not only nuisance but
menace to society. So who should we take
appropriate action to keep the peace in society?
6.
Dogs
cannot speak except by signs and human beings especially dogs lovers must speak
out LOUDLY for dogs and justice for all. Justice for human beings should not
exclude justice for the animals especially guard dogs that are doing great job.
7. We trust that this matter of guard
dogs be laid to rest while our complaints in paragraph 3 be acted upon
without bias.
We
thank you for reading yet another letter.
Yours
faithfully,
Joshua
